Butler County may sell the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Wednesday.
The county commissioners this morning added the item to the agenda for the voting meeting Wednesday in the government center, which starts at 10 a.m. in the first floor meeting room.
A proposed sales agreement was negotiated with Investment 360 of Lakewood, N.J.
The county won’t disclose what the company’s offer is. All eight firms that initially sent proposals to the county were required to offer no less than $13.5 million.
In an appraisal conducted by Integra Realty Resources, Sunnyview’s value was set at $17.5 million.
County officials this morning finalized talks with the company.
Commissioners Bill McCarrier and Dale Pinkerton support a sale due to Sunnyview’s annual deficit.
The nursing home is estimated to lose $992,000 in 2013. The final number was not available.
Sunnyview is projected to lose more than $1 million for 2014. The county would subsidize $838,452 of the total deficit.
