ALLEGHENY CO. — The section of Pennsylvania Turnpike between the Butler Valley and Allegheny Valley interchanges will be closed in both directions from 11:59 p.m. Saturday until 6 a.m. Sunday.

Drivers should follow detoured routes along Route 8 and Route 28 to bypass the closed section, acording to a turnpike news release.

Alternate route cards will be available to travelers at the two interchanges during the closure.

The section between exits 39 and 48 will be closed for bridge beam removal of the bridge that carries Gibsonia Road over the turnpike. The bridge project is to be done by December.
