A thought for the divided congregation of St. Peter’s Parish in Slippery Rock:

“To make peace alive in us is to actively cultivate underdstanding, love and compassion, even in the face of misperception and conflict. Practicing peace ... requires courage.”

This is from Thich Nhat Hanh, a Vietnamese Zen Buddhist monk, poet, author and peace activist.

Let’s all be courageous.
