BC3’s Lawrence campus temporarily on lockdown

UNION TWP., Lawrence County — BC3 @ Lawrence Crossing was on lockdown for more than an hour this morning, but resumed operations at 12:41 p.m., according to the school’s website.
The Butler County Community College branch campus said the lockdown started at 11:30 a.m.
A dispatcher at the Lawrence County Emergency Operations Center said township police were looking for a suspect in a theft case, but had no further details.
The center did not know if the suspect was armed.
Students and faculty on campus were advised not to move from their current location, while others were told not to enter the campus.
A spokeswoman for the college could not be reached for comment.
