JACKSON TWP — Seneca Valley was looking for the feel of a playoff game.

Butler was happy to oblige.

The Golden Tornado rallied from an early 10-point deficit to tie the game four times in the third quarter Friday night before the Raiders grabbed a 69-60 Section 3-AAAA boys basketball victory.

“We knew they would be all in coming down here tonight and they were,” SV coach Victor Giannotta said of Butler.

The Raiders (12-10, 7-7) were practically all in from the free throw line in putting away victory in their regular season finale. SV sank 11 of 14 foul shots in the final 1:19 to secure the win.

“We knew we were going to take their best shot,” Raiders senior forward Mike Smith said. “This was their Super Bowl. But we responded.”

Smith responded with his most productive game of the season, scoring 26 points. He netted 16 of the Raiders' first 22 points.

Snyder did not score in the opening quarter, but struck for 11 points in the second period.
