Cold and snow this morning resulted in the closings of the Butler, Slippery Rock, Karns City and Moniteau school districts.

Because those districts closed, all the sporting events scheduled for tonight in those districts will not be played.

The weather caused two-hour delays for all Allegheny-Clarion Valley School District schools and for elementary schools in the Freeport School District.

Schools in the Mars, South Butler and Seneca Valley school districts are on a regular schedule.
