With the recent cold weather, it seems appropriate to extend thanks to the heroes who work for our local power companies and braved the bitterly cold temperatures to restore our electric service when it was out.

Our power went out at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday and our family was very grateful when it came back on four hours later.

We wanted to say a public thank-you to these power company employees who work behind the scenes to protect us and our homes.
