Grateful supervisor

For the past 12 years I have held office as a Center Township supervisor. As I leave office, there are individuals I wish to thank for their service to our community.

Thank you to those who have served with me and for the township on the planning commission, zoning hearing board and our other boards and committees. Your service has helped to ensure the protection of the property rights of our people.

Thank you to former secretaries Martha Hufhand and Stephanie Sellers, to secretary-treasurer-open records officer Anthony Amendolea, and to building code official-zoning officer Richard Round. You have always kept in mind that those you serve are our friends, our family and our neighbors.

Thank you to township engineer Ron Olsen and solicitor Mike Gallagher. As professionals you have always given us what we hired you to give: your knowledge and experience. But you have also given us your heart, that extra amount of commitment that money alone can’t buy.

A very special thank-you to public works director-emergency management coordinator Mark Lauer and to our public works department road crew members Charlie Moorhead, my friend from childhood Tom Smith, Lenny Young, Jeff Winchester, Howard Allison, current Unionville Volunteer Fire Department Chief Greg Brewster, and former member Neil Hutchison. I know that for you, this is more than just a job. You have my respect and gratitude.

I also thank my fellow supervisors, who have honored me by my election as chairman for six of the past eight years.
