BUTLER TWP — There will be no real estate tax increase for township residents next year.
Township commissioners Monday night approved a 2014 budget that calls for property taxes to remain at 11.25 mills.
The new budget is $8.9 million, with a general fund budget of $7.1 million. A mill generates $1 in tax income for each $1,000 of a property’s assessed value.
A mill is worth $157,212 in the township.
The budget this year is $8.6 million with a general fund of $7.2 million.
