PINE TWP, Mercer County — A safety equipment store at 139 Gasper Lane caught fire late Thursday night.
Six Mercer County volunteer fire departments responded to Hall’s Safety Equipment about 11 p.m. on reports of a fire.
The Slippery Rock Volunteer Fire Company from Butler County also responded while units from Harrisville and Marion Township were on standby.
The blaze is believed to have started in a vehicle in the garage of the building, according to 911 reports.
Slippery Rock Fire Chief Dave Taggart said it appeared the fire was contained to one area of the building and was put out about 20 minutes after his crew was on scene.
The Pine Township Engine Company was in command of the fire, but could not be reached this morning for comment.
There were no injuries, according to 911 reports.

Fire crews left the scene at 1:15 a.m. today.
