2 Summit Academy teens caught in Butler

Butler police captured two Summit Academy teens who made a short-lived break during a visit to see the dentist Tuesday morning.
The boys, ages 15 and 17, were among four teens from the Summit Township reform school who were in Butler for dental appointments, city police said.
All the teens were in the custody of a Summit Academy employee when the two out-of county suspects took off from the dentist’s office on South Main Street.
Police said they were alerted at 9:21 a.m. Following a short foot chase, officers nabbed the pair at 9:36 a.m. near Monroe and Kittanning streets.
The boys, who face escape charges, were returned to the reform school.
