READY FOR ANYTHING — Although there wasn't any snow falling, temperatures on Nov. 28, 1986, made the Spirit of Christmas parade participants and viewers aware of Jack Frost's presence. The parade down Main Street in Butler kicked off one of the biggest shopping days of the holiday season, Black Friday.

BUNDLED UP — Cold weather didn’t stop youngsters from Zelienople and Harmony from turning out to watch the annual Christmas parade in Zelienople on Nov. 28, 1981. Children and adults alike were prepared for the weather and came bundled up in hats and gloves.
