Lutz, Lopez
Maria E. Lutz and Jesse W. Lopez were married June 29 at Calvary United Methodist Church in Pittsburgh. The Rev. Donald Scandrol, stepfather of the groom, officiated. A reception followed at Pittsburgh’s Grand Hall at the Priory.
The bride is the daughter of Larry and Judy Lutz of Sarver. The bridegroom is the son of the Rev. Donald and Barbara Scandrol of Ohio Township, Allegheny County, and Tony Lopez of Carrick.
The maid of honor was Melanie Lutz. The bridesmaids included Shelly Lutz, Kristi Lutz, Mandy Oertel, Shannon Kasunic, Heather Fair, Annie Eisenhart and Paula Albright.
The flower girl was Ella Kasunic.
Performing the duties of best man was Brian Perry. Ushers included Matthew Scandrol, Brian Lutz, Kevin Lutz, Vincent Plocido, Cory St. Esprit, Shane St. Esprit and Jesse Breier.
The ring bearers were Rocco Scandrol and Lewis Lutz.
A 2004 graduate of Freeport High School, the bride received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education in 2009 from Pennsylvania State University.
She is a first-grade teacher at St. Philip’s Academy, Newark, N.J.
A 2005 graduate of Seneca Valley High School, the groom received a bachelor’s degree in English in 2009 from Allegheny College.
He is an implementation specialist at ADP in Florham Park, N.J.
Following a honeymoon trip to St. Lucia in the Caribbean, the couple is making their home in Rahway, N.J.
