Regarding Robert E. Neal’s letter (“County should keep it,” Nov. 8).

Commissioners Bill McCarrier and Dale Pinkerton, who are pursuing the privatization of Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, want to spend our money.

If they were to put the sale of Sunnyview on the ballot, the two commissioners know they would lose. The people would vote to keep it. That building means a lot to them — a place for your loved ones, young or old. It’s our home.

Renovating an existing building wouldn’t cost taxpayers as much as the new construction Pinkerton and McCarrier envision.
