A very disturbing article in the Oct. 24 Butler Eagle stated a Christian club called The Source was persona non grata at Butler County Community College.

The Source was shut down Oct. 17 but was reinstated about a week later.

Absent specific information on why this club was targeted for closure, it is prima facie that viewpoint discrimination with religious overtones is in play at BC3.

Christian clubs have the same protections under the U.S. Constitution, in a school environment, as do secular clubs.

BC3 should embrace transparency and let the taxpayers know why The Source was singled out for closure by a tax-support institution of higher learning.
