The borough council will look the same next year. Incumbent candidates Mitch Leech, Ronald Kaufman and Francis Smith each held their seats during Tuesday’s general election. Smith, a Democrat, led the way with 60 votes. Kaufman and Leech, both Republicans, followed with 59 and 54 votes, respectively. Democratic challenger Anita Galko finished fourth with 36 votes. There were also three write-in votes. “We’re going to continue to try to get the right things accomplished for the community,” Leech said. Kaufman and Smith could not be reached for comment. Of the 362 registered voters in the borough, 87, or roughly 24 percent, voted Tuesday.
