The Republican Party’s only job is to give in and take the blame. You can blame Ted Cruz and the tea party, but they are the only ones showing any fight against federal distortions of our market from both Democratic and Republican “leadership.”

There are no federal solutions to federal dysfunction. The balance and separation of powers was upset and reversed with the income tax. Federal income taxation directly imposed on individuals by the 16th Amendment eliminated our line of defense by the states from federal tyrants. The 17th Amendment did the same.

Before 1913, the states appointed their members of the U.S. Senate and that gave the states a voice and a veto vote to stop all those federal rules from being jammed down the throats of the states and the people.

The States have not had a voice in our federal government since 1913. Before the 17th Amendment, the federal government was an extension of the states and not the reverse.

Repeal the 16th and 17th amendments and put the buffers and balance back between the people and the states, and their designing federal masters. Let the states collect sales tax to send the greedy feds their fair share, and abolish the Internal Revenue Service.
