Regarding the story “Donaldson: drug fight is key” (Page 1, Oct. 27).

As mayoral candidate Tom Donaldson states, “Let us build our communities first.” I would add to that, let us work with stable suburban business owners, make downtown business rentals more attractive for them to come back downtown, and build up the downtown that way.

I am amazed that smaller towns in Butler County have sustainable economies. They have a more rural surrounding to deal with.
