Long bus ride, questions

Recently two friends and I set out on a new adventure. All of us, as senior citizens, had free passes for the bus. We decided to use them and go to Clearview Mall.

We understood the bus to be handicap accessible (two of us use rollators). When we went to get on, we were expected to carry the rollators up the steps and collapse them once we boarded. The driver did offer some help.

The trip itself, from the South Side of Butler to Clearview, took one hour. The return trip took two hours.

All in all, we had a nice day. Thank goodness the weather was gorgeous because the bus experience was not. It was not my idea of handicapped accessible.

Should the bus re-evaluate its service to the handicapped? I know I won’t use the service anytime soon.
