Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. John Bester III of Prospect.
He is a 2000 graduate of Slippery Rock High School, a 2004 graduate of Duquesne University and a 2007 graduate of the George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C.
He serves in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps at Ft. Eustis, Va.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Baker of Virginia Beach, Va.
She is a 2003 graduate of Norfolk Collegiate School, a 2007 graduate of Old Dominion University and a 2013 graduate of Eastern Virginia Medical School, all located in Norfolk, Va.
She is a resident physician in Family Medicine at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Va.
Their wedding is planned for fall 2014 at the Founders Inn, Virginia Beach.
