Shooting, standoff over night leaves 2 dead

WASHINGTON, Pa. — Two people are dead in Washington County after a domestic dispute led to an all-night standoff with police, and another person was injured.

Authorities say the standoff in South Strabane Township began about midnight. That's about 25 miles southwest of Pittsburgh.

Police say an estranged husband went to his wife's home and killed her and shot her boyfriend. The alleged shooter escaped to a neighbor's house and a standoff began. The gunman then killed himself, according to police.

Some people living in nearby homes were evacuated.

The names of the victims haven't been released.
