Address Butler woes

In her letter (“Problems persist”) published Aug. 29, Theresa Rice again tried to remind people of the problems in Butler and of the need to address them.
She recalled the days when Butler was considered safe day or night. I remember when families would take their kids shopping on Main Street in the evening without a concern about safety.
In a recent personal e-mail, someone expressed the hope that all is well in Butler. My response: The gas companies and the drug dealers are making a killing — and the town is dying a slow death.
