Still blaming Bush
Cal Kane Butler
Once again, letter writer Bill Neel has surfaced with an absurd commentary (“U.S. War Crimes,” Aug. 18). His rants about George W. Bush (five years out of office!) have actually ramped up in tone rather than abated. Here’s a clue: we’ve had a different president since 2008 whose name is given only one mention by the writer in this latest diatribe, as opposed to many references to President Bush. In 2004, Alec Baldwin (illustrious actor who also assumed the role of clueless political analyst) stated, “If Bush wins this election I will move from America.” Thousands of Americans responded by email, gladly offering to help Baldwin pack his things — and warning him to not let the door hit him in the rear end as he was leaving the country. It’s obvious the letter writer, like Baldwin, has no use for America —yet he continues to take advantage of the benefits of living here.
