Laura Christy and Rob Davenport, both of York, Pa., were united in marriage June 28 at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in York. The Rev. Brian McClinton officiated. A reception followed at the Holiday Inn, Harrisburg.
The bride is the daughter of Larry and Helen Christy of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Roger and Dottie Davenport of Havertown, Pa.
The honor attendant was Kristie Dittman of Butler. Bridesmaids included Shanna Mohney of Butler, Jen Gerhart of York, Emily Knezic of York and Lauren Ward of York.
The flower girl was Brianna Dittman of Butler.
Performing the duties of best man was Jeff Lubas of Philadelphia. Ushers included Steve DiBona of Philadelphia, Chad Moyer of York, Shaun Fisher of York and John Mitchell of Philadelphia.
The ring bearer was Kyle Dittman of Butler.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Butler High School. She received a bachelor's degree in secondary education from California (Pa.) University in 2005 and a master's degree in educational development and strategies from Wilkes University in 2007.
She is employed by Northeastern School District in Manchester, Pa.
The bridegroom graduated from Havertown High School in 1998. He received a bachelor's degree in secondary education from Millersville University of Pennsylvania in 2003 and a master's degree in curriculum writing from Penn State University in 2006.
He is employed by the West Manchester Township Police Department in York.
The couple is making their home in York.
