Ball 50th anniversary
Carol and Bruce Ball of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family dinner and surprise party at the Lake Arthur Country Club.
Ball married the former Carol Roe on July 27, 1963, at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church in Butler.
They have four children, Bruce Ball of Butler, Carol Conner of Allison Park, Thomas Ball of Butler and Phillip Ball of Butler.
They also have four grandchildren.
Ball retired from Armco/AK Steel after 47 years.
He is a member of St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church. He also is a member of Monday Night Duck Pin Bowling, Thursday Morning Senior Golf League, Elks Club, Poker Club and the Butler Armco Employees Association.
Mrs. Ball retired as a French and English teacher in the Moniteau, South Butler and Butler school districts.
She is a member of St. John's Reformed Church in Meridian. She also is a member of Beta Sigma Phi, PASR, Order of the Eastern Star and the Butler County Symphony Board. Mrs. Ball enjoys music, cards and church activities.
