To the people of Slippery Rock Borough:

You should be ashamed of yourselves for voting these council members into office, other than Itzi Meztli.

I am a landlord in the borough. I traveled 60 miles round trip to attend the July 2 meeting because of the issues with the bulk trash. All I can say is “wow;” or better yet, “Jerry, Jerry, Jerry,” just like a Jerry Springer TV show, except that it’s free.

The people who attended this meeting were all in favor of moving the bulk trash pickup back to back to May. There is also a petition with more than 400 signatures of borough residents that are also in favor of moving the date back to May. What more do the council members want?

Councilman Meztli made some very good points and suggestions to the other council members, but they don’t want to hear it. It’s like Meztli is the black sheep on council.

Everyone on council except Meztli were in favor of forming this committee for bulk trash. What’s more than likely to happen is, this committee, which will be picked by council, will side with council in favor of keeping the bulk pickup in March. Rest assured you will not see landlord Frank Monteleone Jr. picked for this committee or anyone else who favors moving the bulk trash pickup back to May.
