PITTSBURGH — A bartender served alcohol to three underage Pennsylvania men who later died when their pickup crashed into a pond and the tavern’s owner doctored surveillance footage and sales records to avoid blame, state police said Monday.

Sean Titus, 20, Zane McMillen, 19, and Cody Douglas, 18, all of Kittanning, were allegedly drinking at the Final Score Saloon in Rural Valley shortly before the pickup Titus was driving crashed into a pond and overturned early on May 5.

All three men died when their friends couldn’t rescue them from the submerged truck cab before emergency crews arrived,

Titus was a Butler County Community College student.

Police have charged the bar’s owner, Larry Pompelia, 58, of Rural Valley, and the bartender on duty that night, Karly Ann Good, 22, in connection with the crash.

According to criminal complaints released by state police in Indiana County, police believe Pompelia doctored surveillance video so it would not show the men drinking at the bar before the crash, and destroyed or did not properly recorded alcohol sales to the men. Good is charged with illegally serving the men despite knowing they were underage.

Both Pompelia and Good deny the alligations.
