More Butler hotels

I was perplexed to read the Butler Eagle’s front page story (July 8) about former hotels in Butler. One would think only four hotels served the Butler community as per your article.
“Numerous hotels populated the city throughout the first half of the last century, including the Willard, Park and Atlas hotels. But perhaps the most notable was the Nixon Hotel . . . .”
It was not that notable, nor was it the longest lasting.
You never mentioned the Clinton Hotel, the Bowman Hotel, the Lowry Hotel, the Central Hotel or the Butler Hotel. And the longest established hotel in Butler, with continuous hotel service, the old Monroe Hotel.
The Lyndora Hotel is still operating, and many members of our community celebrated events and dinners and luncheons at these hotels and still do.
