PITTSBURGH — Allegheny County detectives say they have found the body of a woman who had been missing for several days, and a man has been arrested in her death.

Homicide detectives said the body of 50-year-old Jill Clark of East Deer Township was found shortly after 7 a.m. Saturday near a utility road in Plum Borough.

Police said she had apparently been beaten to death. The county medical examiner’s office will determine the exact cause and manner of death.

Detectives said a man has been arrested and faces charges of homicide, abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence.

Authorities said earlier that Clark was being sought after she hadn’t shown up for work at the Penn Hills post office on Tuesday.
