I’m writing with regard to two letters to the editor.

The first was Vets Deserve Better (June 30) by Holly Cooper. Excellent letter. That’s exactly the response out vets get when they need help It’s shameful and disgraceful. We can send billions overseas to countries that hate us, but we can’t help our men and women of the armed forces in our own country.

The second letter, Secure the Border First (June 30) by Cathy Neese. Another truthful letter. Believe me, you aren’t the only one disgusted with this administration and our politicians. I don’t believe they really intend to fix the border. It’s a game to them. They want immigrants to come. Immigrants are a vote to them and nothing more. I am also surprised at U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla. I heard him say he wouldn’t push for the immigration reform bill until the border was fixed.
