Butler woman to vie for Miss America

A Butler woman will compete in the nationally televised Miss America Pageant in September in Atlantic City, N.J.

Annie Rosellini on Saturday was crowned Miss Pennsylvania 2013 in Pittsburgh. That entitles her to contend for Miss America.

Rosellini, 21, entered the Miss Pennsylvania Pageant after being crowned Miss Greater Juniata Valley on Feb. 9 in Lewistown, Pa.

She graduated from Butler High School in 2010 and is a sophomore at Point Park University, where she is a public relations major.

Her pageant talent is performing a lyrical dance to the Beatles’ song “Let it Be.”

Her pageant platform is “Heart Disease Awareness and Prevention for Our Future.”

She is the daughter of Lou Ann Rosellini and the late Jaime Rosellini, who died in 2010.
