Three cheers for Diane Bowser for her letter (“Ad incites violence”, June 7) regarding the inappropriate comment of Slippery Rock landlord Frank Monteleone, when he referenced a Florida school board shooting to enforce his message. Bowser echoed what many others felt upon reading his lengthy ad — many of us who are not involved in Slippery Rock issues and can be a little more objective.

I am certain Monteleone, who has been a vital part of his town’s growth, now has second thoughts about his inclusion of the shooting phrase in an otherwise well-intentioned article.
