Logo design contest winner named
ADAMS TWP — Mars Planet Foundation named fifth-grader Elizabeth Kepple as the winner of the foundation's Logo Design Contest, held April 1 to May 1.
Elizabeth's design, which includes the words: “Projects/Programs,” “Scholarships,” “Technology” and “Literacy,” rising in concentric circles to meet the “Mars Planet Foundation,” was selected from several hundred entries submitted by Mars students in kindergarten through grade 12.
As part of the contest, entrants were asked to design a logo in line with the foundation's goals and mission, which states that the organization is “dedicated to enriching, enhancing and supporting Mars School District's endeavor in providing a challenging educational experience that maximizes the learning potential of every student and prepares them to succeed in the 21st Century.” The design needed to be easily adapted for use on letterhead, websites and clothing.
In addition to having her design selected, Elizabeth received a $100 award. For more information, contact Anna Saker, foundation liaison, at 724-898-1562.
