Students to offer decade presentation
ADAMS TWP — Mars Centennial School sixth-graders will offer a “Decades Presentation” at 1:30 p.m. today in the gymnasium. As part of the event, students will dress in clothings representative of the 1950s through the 1990s and will perform skits about their selected time periods. School to offer student fun day ADAMS TWP — Mars Centennial School will hold its annual Student Fun Day from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at Mars Athletic Complex. Students will participate in various noncompetitive track and field events and other activities. The event will conclude with a sixth grade graduation ceremony followed by a tug-of-war competition in the school’s gymnasium. Board meetings set for June ADAMS TWP — Mars School Board will meet on the following dates in June: • Tuesday — Work session, 7 p.m. • June 11 — Regular meeting, 7 p.m. Board meetings are held in the boardroom at Mars School District’s Administration Office, 545 Route 228. All meetings are open to the public. Last day of school slated for Friday ADAMS TWP — The last day of the 2012-13 school year for students in Mars School District is Friday. The 2013-14 school year will begin on Aug. 26. For more information, call 724-625-1518. ‘One-Man Volleyball’ assembly at Mars ADAMS TWP — Mars Middle School will host a “One-Man-Volleyball Team” assembly at 1 p.m. today. Bob Holmes, motivational speaker, will compete against the school’s Junior High Girls Volleyball Team.
