Mars library lists summer eventsMARS — Registration begins June 3 for several programs at Mars Public Library, 107 Grand Ave., with an ice cream social for all ages from 1 to 3 p.m. sponsored by McGinnis Sisters.Story Time for ages 3 to 6 will begin June 3. The times are 10:30 a.m. Mondays, 1 p.m. Tuesdays and 10:30 a.m. Fridays. There is a one-time craft fee.Story Tots for infants through age 3 will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesdays beginning June 5.These programs will highlight early literacy through rhymes, songs, books and other language-building play.The summer reading program is for infants through 17-year-olds and runs from June 3 to July 26. Online or manual record keeping can be used. Prizes and incentives will be offered.Read-To-Me is for infants to first-graders.Kids Program is for grades 1, 2 and 3.Tweens is for grades 4, 5 and 6. Bike ride will aid fight against MSJACKSON TWP — The Western Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society will stage its 27th annual Bike MS: Escape to the Lake event June 8 and 9.Starting at 7 a.m. June 8 at Seneca Valley High School, an expected 1,300 cyclists will ride to Lake Erie in Conneaut, Ohio.
