I attended my first Slippery Rock borough council meeting on May 21. What a ridiculous spectacle the council president and borough administrator presented.

I had decided I wanted to present a problem, but after observing the gestures and looks that passed between them — not to mention the berating comments made loud enough for all to hear concerning the other speakers — I chose to sit in silent disgust.

Obviously these two found great humor in and at the expense of the citizens speaking. At one point, the administrator was making fun of the questions and comments of one of the council members. Maybe she needs to stop watching the Butler County Commissioners’ meetings on cable television and start thinking about how she looks.

That also goes for the council president. Shame on both of you. There’s a circus north of Butler, too.
