Holland is best choice

I have to say, after reading Trish Lindsay’s May 8 letter to the editor, that I could not be more positive of my choice for county controller, that being Ben Holland.
Capability and effectiveness are not measured in age or years of experience. In the case of Holland, though not mentioned in the Lindsay letter, is that he’s a graduate of one of the best colleges in the country — Grove City — with a degree in accounting. What also needs to be known is that Ben has experience at a Fortune 500 company, not only in accounting but in budget preparation, financial analysis and cost management, which are critical prerequisites for the county controller position.
I believe it is time for Butler County to look at new faces, fresh ideas, vitality and a strong passion, which is demonstrated by Holland’s work ethic in conducting his campagin.
Holland is very capable and knowledgeable to fulfill the position of county controller and does not deserve the perception presented in Lindsay’s letter.
