Today

• Mars High School will host an “Evening with Admission Counselors” program for parents of current juniors at 6 p.m. in the library.

Representatives from Duquesne University, Grove City College, Pennsylvania State University and Slippery Rock University will discuss what post-secondary educational institutions are looking for in applicants. The program will offer information on financial aid and a recommended timeline for high school seniors.

• Mars School District will hold a mandatory football meeting at 7 p.m. at the high school.

All parents of current football players in grades 8-11 should attend. A college recruiting seminar will precede the meeting at 6 p.m.

• Mars Middle School will offer an “Internet Safety & Cyber-Bullying” program for students at 1 p.m.

Elaine Surma, a senior supervisory special agent with the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, will discuss the hidden dangers of social media as well as Internet safety.

• Mars Primary Center first graders and their parents will have a picnic lunch as part of the school's annual first grade parent picnic.

Friday

• Mars High School will hold its 2013 Senior Prom at 8:30 p.m. at The Omni William Penn in Pittsburgh.

• Today will be an Act 80 day.

Monday

• Mars Centennial School will offer an “Internet Safety & Cyber-Bullying” program for students at 9:30 a.m.
