PENN TWP — Two women were honored Wednesday night for their community spirit at the 64th Distinguished Service Awards Banquet.

Lisa Nicholas Konesni is the 2012 DSA senior recipient while Chris Ziegler is the 2012 DSA junior recipient.

Nicholas Konesni was honored for her work on the Butler School Board and the Butler Golden Tornado Scholastic Foundation among other volunteer efforts.

Ziegler was recognized for her tireless dedication as president of the Butler-Freeport Community Trail Council.

The annual event at the Butler Country Club is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Butler and the Butler Eagle.
