Matz flips 1-hitter for Raiders

Nicki Matz threw a one-hit shutout in Seneca Valley’s 9-0 high school softball win over Shaler on Monday.
Matz, a sophomore, struck out nine and walked three in the complete game against the Titans (9-2, 9-1), who currently lead the Section 3-AAAA standings.
Mia Sipple tallied the lone hit for Shaler.
The Raiders (5-5, 4-5) tallied 15 hits, with Alexa Sisko, Jessica Neill and Cassie Bachik each collecting three of them.
