SV hires new principal

JACKSON TWP — The Seneca Valley School Board Monday night hired a new principal for Rowan Elementary School.
Nannette Farmar has been serving as the acting principal at the Cranberry Township Elementary School since John Giancola left the district in December. She previously served as the assistant principal at Rowan and Connoquenessing Valley elementary schools.
Farmar previously spent time teaching in the Kiski Area School District as well as the Talbot County Public School System in Maryland.
She earned a bachelor's degree in elementary and kindergarten education from Penn State in 1993 and her master's in administrative and policy studies from the University of Pittsburgh in 2001.
