Most people have heard the saying “tail wagging the dog.”

In Washington, the National Rifle Association is wagging members of Congress. Before considering proposed legislation involving guns, many in Congress first consult with the NRA to ascertain that the measure doesn’t offend that powerful organization.

In other words, the NRA owns our politicians.

Although the NRA has the money to buy politicians, Americans have the vote to send them home.

It’s time for the voters to start doing that.
