Police solve one robbery and start work on a second

CRANBERRY TWP — Township police have solved one store robbery while starting up an investigation on another store robbery.
Police this afternoon announced that they had taken into custody Matthew Macher, 34, of Cranberry Township, in connection with the attempted robbery of the Rite Aid pharmacy on Route 19 on Monday evening.
The robber told an employee that he had a bomb.
He fled the store without getting any drugs.
At about 11 p.m. Tuesday, a man entered the BP gas station with a shotgun and made off with some cash from the cash register. The suspect is described as being a white male with a thin build, about 6 feet tall, wearing a black hooded sweat shirt, blue jeans and a gray shirt pulled up to cover his face.
