• The middle school will present “Relating, Dating & Waiting” from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Representatives of the Women's Choice Network will present the program, which is geared at seventh- and eighth-graders and their parents. The focus of the program is to help students to build strong relationships with their peers and to promote teen abstinence.

• The primary center will offer a Spring Open House from 6 to 8 p.m. For more information, call 724-625-1588.

• The Office of Special & Gifted Education will offer a Parent Training Workshop from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the middle school library. The topic will be “Self-Advocacy: Your Child's Own Voice.” For more information, call 724-898-1561.

• The primary center continues its Stuff the Bus program through next Friday. Students are parents can drop off packages of diapers at the school's office during school hours. Students will on April 26 load all the diapers collected onto an A.J. Myers school bus for delivery to The Lighthouse.


• The National Honor Society will hold its annual induction ceremony at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium. Throughout the school year, National Honor Society members participate in a variety of service-related projects. For more information, call 724-625-1581.

• A prescheduled two-hour delay will be observed today.


• Today is the deadline to register for the high school cheerleading program's annual Youth Cheer Camp. The camps are open to girls in kindergarten through sixth grade, and will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, through Thursday, May 9. Registration forms are available in each elementary schools main office.


• The Mars Planet Foundation board of directors will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the district administration office on Route 228. Mars Planet Foundation is a nonprofit organization that serves to develop, promote and finance educational programs, activities and projects within Mars School District.
