Hands off S.S. money

Where is the AARP (American Association of Retired Persons)? It should be protecting retired people from the government dipping into Social Security again.

Perhaps the organization’s name should be changed if it is unable to do that.

The Associated Press regularly reports that Social Security is part of the government’s deficit.

In my opinion, Social Security is not part of the government’s deficit. Social Security is funded by the workers and their employers.

Social Security had a $17 billion surplus around 1987, but politicians weren’t able to keep their fingers out of the cookie jar.

When an assistant of the late U.S. Sen. Arlen Specter took money from his retirement fund, she had to serve prison time.

My retirement fund is just as sacred.

Does anyone else think that the politicians who mess with our retirement fund should have to serve prison time also?
