Butler Township may get new hotel

BUTLER TWP — A new hotel may be coming to the township.
A Holiday Inn Express is proposed to be built on 3 acres on North Duffy Road, just north of the Wal-Mart off Route 356.
Jesse Hines, township zoning officer, said the hotel will have 80 rooms and be four stories tall.
The land development application was submitted to the township March 5, and planning is in the early stages.
“We don’t have anything definitive yet,” said township manager Ed Kirkwood.
The township planning commission will hear details on the hotel for the first time at 6 p.m. Tuesday when hotel officials will reveal more details.
