Snow could cover county Sunday night

More snow is on the way.

After getting a small amount of snow on Thursday and more on Friday, Butler County is expected to get additional snow this weekend.

About 2 to 4 inches is expected, according to the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh on Saturday morning.

The snow is expected to begin after 8 p.m. Sunday, and continue through Monday afternoon.

The weather service said it is possible that some of those 2 to 4 inches could take the form of rain. Wind gusts of up to 25 mph could occur.

Sunlight and temperatures in the mid to upper 30s are expected to help keep roads mostly clear.

Counties south of Pittsburgh could get more snow, 4 to 6 inches and up to 10 inches are expected in the mountains east of Pittsburgh.
