School to hold annual science fair
ADAMS TWP — Mars Elementary School will hold its annual introductory, noncompetitive science fair from 6 to 8:15 p.m. Tuesday at Mars High School.
The goal of the program is to stimulate imagination and independent thinking; increase students' knowledge in a variety of scientific areas; teach the use of the scientific process; train students in organization and major task completion; and provide an opportunity to enjoy science.

High school to hold parent meeting
ADAMS TWP — Mars High School will offer a Parent/Principal Communication Connection Meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the library.

Students raise funds for CF study
ADAMS TWP — Mars High School Student Council will sponsor a “March Madness” fundraiser, Monday through Wednesday, to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Members of student council will sell “March Madness” basketball brackets for $10 each. For more information, call 724-625-1581.

Student artwork selected for show
ADAMS TWP — Several works by Mars Elementary School students were selected for The Associated Artists of Butler County's inaugural Butler Elementary School Art Show
Students are third-graders Angelina Bahorich, Samruthi Bala, Evan Bean, Zaccheri Campagna, Nicholas Costa, Leana Cuzzocrea, Samuel Hagen, Addison Keys, John Kiewall, Tucker Kush, Emma Moran, Helayna Pater, Sara Soltis, Joseph Vivirito, Ethan Voelker, Olivia Waldrop and Katherine Wollerton; and second-graders Jaxon Bender, Noah Dupree, Josh Dunham, Lindsey Gourash, Molly Homison, Adriana Najjar, Amber O'Neil, Racheal Ow, Nolan Scott, Mia Shterengarts, Paul Starr and Sydney Terzich.
The event will open with an awards ceremony from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the art center in Butler. The show will remain on display through March 29.
