Our forefathers had a reason for writing the Second Amendment like they did.

The Second Amendment reads: “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

It was adopted on Dec. 15, 1791, along with the rest of the Bill of Rights.

It doesn’t say the right of hunters to keep and bear arms. It also says a “well regulated militia.”

The militia they were talking about is the people of this country.

It also says the reason for the amendment is to ensure the security of a free state. That is our country.

This amendment was put there to protect us from tyranny — in other words, from the government.

That is what scares those who are against the Second Amendment. The liberals who are making laws are the ones responsible for the tragedies we face today.

Maybe if we didn’t have gun-free zones there wouldn’t be any of these tragedies. Maybe if the American Civil Liberties Union hadn’t decided to give “nut cases” rights to walk the streets, instead of being in an asylum where they belong, we wouldn’t have problems like we’ve been experiencing.

Anytime gun tragedies happen, lawmakers go off half-cocked and make laws that do nothing but hurt the law-abiding citizens. The wackos who commit these tragedies will get guns, laws or no laws.

The number of rounds a weapon carries, or how fast it shoots, makes no difference to the “nut case” who’s using it for no good.

If they have it in their mind to kill people, it’s going to happen.

The bottom line is, if Americans want to have a safe country, they need to demand that the “nut cases” are locked up where they can do no harm, and give the police the latitude to do their jobs without fear of retaliation.
