Canadians seek to beat Butler’s Jeep record

A group of Jeep enthusiasts in Canada are banding together in an attempt to beat the world record for most Jeeps in a parade.
That record was set in Butler in August 2011 at the first Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival in Butler County.
The group from Quebec, called Mega Convoi Jeep, or Mega Jeep Convoy, is trying to beat the Guinness Book of World Records-recognized feat. The group must assemble more than the 1,106 Jeeps that drove from Butler County Community College into Butler in 2011.
The Canadian group was established in December. Its event in Montreal is set for May 18-19.
